|Bruce Guthrie served for 11 years as business representative for the estate of Chet Baker.
His work ranged from negotiating music and motion picture contracts and copyright matters,
to writing liner notes for undiscovered music offerings.
He also created a foundation...and jazz festival in Chet's birth place of Yale,Oklahoma (now
in its third year)... honoring Chet's legacy with celebrities such as Sharon Stone, Jeff
Golblum, Quincy Jones, Dave Brubeck and many others serving as honorary board
Bruce still represents Mrs. Carol Baker on select projects. Carol and Bruce founded "Prince
of Cool Apparel, Inc." in 2017 in Chet's home state of Oklahoma and plan to offer items at
jazz events around the world in future.
Bruce has performed concerts in many venues honoring the "west coast cool" genre of jazz
Chet Baker pioneered during his musical life.
He now offers for select venues a very special 2-hour show offering commentary on the
musical career of Chet Baker, spanning 4 decades, and music selections representative of
the excellent artistic work of Chet Baker, international jazz icon.
